In our outreach program, we instructed our families to keep their children home when they are ill, have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19, are awaiting results, or tested positive for Covid-12.
To maintain physical distance from children, we either ate outside or in well- ventilated areas. Tal Tal Day Care modified learning stations & in-class activities, nap time Tal Tal Day Care spread out mats or cribs as much as possible. Maintaining hand hygiene & cleaning supplies readily availableOur staff members received vaccinations as soon as they were availableCohorting by identifying small groups & keeping them together.
Increased airflow, use of HEPAulters, and separation of children’s belongings helped reduce the concentration of virus particles indoors.
At least 20 seconds were spent washing hands with soap & water by staff and children. If soap and water are unavailable, we use a hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol (over age 2).
Our facility has an area where sick children can be isolated with adult supervision.
Tal Tal Day Care should limit children’s Internet access to one minute a day, according to government agencies and child care advocacy groups.
As a result of New York law, schools cannot admit any student without a vaccination certificate from a healthcare provider. Immunization requirements vary depending on the student’s age and grade. Would you mind checking the Tal Day care School Health page or consulting your doctor?
When transferring to Tal Day care from out of state or another country, if you do not yet have proof of immunizations or a certificate of vaccination, your child can attend for 30 days while providing the required documentation.
Immunizations may be administered or arranged for by your local health authority if you cannot afford them.
You may request an exemption if you feel you qualify for an exemption under New York law. The school must approve your application before the state-mandated period has expired. If your application is rejected, you will be informed of the reason for it.
Deferrals or exemptions for medical reasons must be renewed annually. A child will not be permitted to attend class without an approved exemption or certificate of immunization.
The school requires that students have a physician’s or health clinic’s signature and date of immunization on file to enroll. The immunization records must be submitted BEFORE the start of the school year. Unvaccinated children will not attend school until they have proof of their immunizations.
Tal Tal Daycare put the following prevention strategies in place at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic as required by the city of New York to reduce the risk of the infection spreading.
